It’s been just over a week since we launched our campaign, and the response has been truly overwhelming! Not only have we reached our initial target, but we’re currently at 120% and still climbing with over three weeks to go. Thank you all so much for believing in our dream of making a retro-technology magazine and emulator everyone can enjoy!
Also, huge thanks for all of your blog posts, tweets and shares so far — but don’t forget, the more backers we have the bigger and better the magazine will be, so mention us again if you can. Once we reach a certain number of North American subscribers we will be able to start looking at local publishing options, which will dramatically reduce shipping costs, so please keep spreading the word! It really is “the more, the merrier.”
Currently, we’re hard at work on the Christmas mini-special, and have started laying the groundwork for our first full issue. We’ll be announcing the theme soon, but in the meantime — do you have any 70s, 80s or 90s Christmas anecdotes you would like to share? E-mail email@example.com and tell us about that videogame console you really (really!) wanted for Christmas, or that “surprise” computer that was under the tree instead, which you eventually grew to love — or anything else. All stories, short or tall, are welcome; after all, you are Paleotronic’s most important contributors. Hope to hear from all of you.
We’re so excited to have the chance to make all of this happen. Thanks again for your support. <3
Talk again soon,
Melody and April.
